VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are pleased to inform you that we have launched a new initiative to raise funds and awareness for the Teach for Excellence program called Honor Thy Teacher, whereby parents and individuals in the community can give a monetary gift to the Foundation in honor of a specific teacher. Funds raised will benefit the grants program. Information on Honor Thy Teacher is available online now at www.pinellaseducation.org
All Pinellas County School volunteers must be registered. Please see Mrs. Waller in the administration building to register or update your registration for this school year. Volunteer opportunities at Northeast High School include:

• Athletic Boosters: (We have active parent volunteers in each of our sports activities. We are always looking for help from parents in assisting our school's sports programs. If you are interested in the Athletic Boosters, please contact Coach Dave Redding, NEHI Athletic Director at 727-570-3138.)
• Band Boosters: (An active group with committed parents)


• Classroom Assistants


• Clerical Assistants


• Mentors (A listening, caring friend to a student)


• P.T.S.A. (Meets the third Tuesday of each month)


• S.A.C. Board (School Advisory Council meets the second Tuesday of each month)


• Tutors (Working one-on-one with a student in a particular subject area such as math)
